After participating in the Armchair Audies in 2012 I absolutely wanted to participate again in 2013. This year is going to be even bigger and better than last year was (and it was pretty awesome). After signups were announced, and many participants had chosen our categores we were anxiously awaiting the announcement of the finalists.
The entire list of categories and nominees can be found at www.theaudies.com This year I’ve opted to listen to and predict my picks on the finalists in the Fiction category.
I was quite surprised that I have listened to none of the titles in my category, but have listened to several in other categoris. I will be picking up these titles over the next several weeks and reviewing them in preparation for the Audie Awards Gala and Awards Presentation on May 30, 2013. Have you listened to any of them?

You go girl. I reallly need to try Beautiful Ruins.
What a fun idea! I listened to the Handmaid’s Tale. Although I didn’t love the story I LOVED Claire Daines. I had just watched both seasons of Homeland in a week and was totally missing it. Listening to her voice was a nice treat. for me at least. I LOVE Ivan Doig so I’m going to listen to the Bartender’s Tale.
I am so glad you’re here with us again this year. You have picked a wonderful category. I say this having listened to none of the nominees, but they all sound good to me. I have Beautiful Ruins and I have never read The Handmaid’s Tale. If I was a faster listener I would be tempted to join you.
What a great variety! I’ve heard Beautiful Ruins is outstanding!
