One of the very first board books that we purchased for Monkey’s library was Sandra Boynton’s Barnyard Dance. Even as an infant he loved that book. At one point I’d read it so many times in a row that I began reading it from the end to the beginning just to mix it up.
Boynton’s books are full of fun lyrical phrasing that keeps even the littlest reader engaged.

Another one of our favorites is Snuggle Puppy (a love song). We just read this one as a family the other night. Picture me, monkey and daddy all singing along and blowing kisses. It was too cute and too much fun. The baby was incredibly amused by the spectacle.

Our most recent purchase was Tickle Time. As you can imagine, this book becomes highly interactive and is sure to raise everyone’s spirits.
Every time I’m wandering through the children’s section of the bookstore, I always pause to peruse Boynton’s titles to see if there is one that needs to come home with me.
They have all been a great addition to our family library and will continue to be for years to come.

How old is your kid(s)?
I am just starting to discover the awesomeness of Boynton with my 1 year old! So far we have Pajama Time, and Your Personal Penguin. They are adorable.
